User Career Stats Discussion

Hey guys. I'm in the process of building up the user profile again and wanted to open the floor to people to discuss what statistics we'd like to track.

Obviously things like career wins, loss, win percentage and playoff finish are important but I also want to do something with averages...

THE PROBLEM is that leagues are not created equally. Deeper leagues have lower averages relative to shallow leagues and obviously leagues have completely different scoring formats anyway...

SOOOOOOOOOOOO, I'd like to do some sort of metric tied to "relative average". In the very basic, raw addition to profiles a few years ago, I added relative average but this can be skewed in leagues that have some teams with very low averages. We've all been in public leagues where somebody bails half way through the draft and ends up with five players on their roster, averaging 41.1 fantasy points as a team for the season. I don't like that.

I thought about creating a relative average metric anchored to the best team in that league's average. So if the best team averaged 240.1 fantasy points per game, the user is given a success rate based on how close they were to that.

I've tossed around a few options in my head but I'd definitely be interested to hear what everybody else is thinking!

Hard to answer.
There Is not a right one.
Every metric has plus and minus.

In any case, it will be a good job :) Even without average scores
