For instance, two teams, set in the same conference, have the same record (38W-32L) after the regular season. Which criterias are keeping in order to qualify one for the Playoff and eliminate the other one ?
The tie-breaker is scoring average.
In fact the case is a little bit more complicated.
Yesterday it was the game70, last game before PO.
We are in a 12-team league, where only 4 teams are going into PO.
Standings are :
1 - Team1 (conf1)
2 - Team2 (conf1)
3 - Team3 (conf1)
3 - Team4 (conf1)
3 - Team5 (conf2)
Team3, 4, 5, have the same record.
Team3 has a best average than team4, which has a best average than team5.
But team5 is the first team of conf2 (yes it's amazing !!)
In PO brackets, Team5 is not in the PO.
However, it has a "star", and in the commissioner control panel is checked "reward winnere conference first".
=> Team5 should have been in PO. Unless we don't understand how it works..
Could you advice us about this ? Our league url is http://hoops.sports.ws/league/?league=100395 (PO brackets is here : http://hoops.sports.ws/league/playoffs/100395 )
Thanks a lot.
