2018 Rookies Broken Down Into Tiers

Curious to see what other people are thinking about rookies this year, especially beyond Doncic and Ayton.

Here's how I'd place the top few as far as dynasty/keeper leagues go. You'd like bump guys like Bagley and Carter slightly higher in redrafts.

Tier 1 (short-term production, realistic high ceiling)
Luka Doncic
Deandre Ayton

Tier 2 (realistic high ceiling)
Jaren Jackson Jr.
Trae Young

Tier 3 (short-term production)
Marvin Bagley
Wendell Carter

Tier 5 (ambitious high ceiling)
Kevin Knox
Mo Bamba
Collin Sexton

What's your interpretation?

Kevin Knox isn’t good. New York media hype!

NY/LA media hype can be a tier 6

I think Kevin Knox could fit into tier 4 for short term production too, he’s going to be an absolute beast. He averaged more than 20 points in preseason and was the only starter to play more than 16 minutes. Looks like the SF job is his for the taking!

**sorry, averaged more than 20 points in summer league but was the only starter to get more than 16 minutes playing time in preseason

I feel like Knox is too raw to make an impact right away but I guess we would have said the same thing about Porzingis, too.

Don't sleep on Miles Bridges. He's got an opportunity to make an impact with the Hornets this season.
