Hey everybody, just wanted to explain why the Twitter newsfeeds have stopped.

We've been locked out of the @SportsWS Twitter account, which is what we had set up as our developer account with Twitter's API ages ago.

I actioned support to appeal this on Nov. 22 but have yet to hear back.

If I don't hear back, I'll create a new developer account and start from scratch, but I really do hope that we just get the original account fixed.

(This whole thing is stupid. I set the @SportsWS account birthdate to when the site launched... so Twitter instantly suspended it as being "underage" when the account was created)

Sorry for the delay. I'll keep everybody informed as I learn more.

those idiots at twitter probably have a lot of other things going on right now, but good luck and thanks for explaining!

This has been resolved. The account has been reinstated and the API is functioning as expected again.
