DERON
WILLIAMS

Utah Jazz • 2010-11
Aug. 28, 2016 - It's been a while since Williams was a significant fantasy force and that's not about to change in his Age 32 season. If you can put his reputation aside, the former All-Star is a modest source of efficiency in low-end starter's minutes. If you don't expect any more than that (or 70-plus games, for that matter), Williams is a decent depth option in leagues where guard minutes are scarce. (AK)

It should be noted that only one Nets player, Deron Williams, has won gold at the Olympics, back in 2012. Jeff Turner, who was drafted by the Nets, but not yet signed in 1984, also won gold. Jason Kidd won two golds, one before and one after his Nets tenure.

Honestly can’t wrap my head around Deron Williams having been out of the NBA four years, and his incredible seven-year peak stretch having ended eight years ago. Meanwhile, CP3 is leading a team to the WCF right now. It’s honestly crazy. D-Will’s run was almost a decade ago!

opinion: It’s fun to change your mind about a legendary player over their career. As a former Deron Williams truther I’m now pulling for CP3 to win a ring — what he’s done in recent seasons is insane & he’s probably overdue for the good fortune he’s gotten with opponent injuries
