JOE
JOHNSON

No Team/Free Agent • 2019-20
Sep. 19, 2016 - It's been a few years since Johnson has made much of a fantasy impact, but that doesn't mean he won't log consistent minutes for the Jazz. Ready to start winning games in the west, Utah inked Johnson as a veteran presence capable of helping out with the development of the rest of their young roster. Sure the 35-year-old may hit the occasional clutch shot, but his contributions at this stage in a long career will mostly be intangible. (AK)

Also, while Boris Diaw was a delightful player, the Suns stopped being as cool once Joe Johnson left. Still a fun team, but Johnson was so good and fit perfectly.

Stars often get days off after a game. “Of course, ‘Toine would take the day off. But Paul would want to practice because they would play afterward 1-on-1, and there’s no way he wanted Kedrick Brown, Joe Johnson, Joseph Forte ... to be king of the hill” t.co

A fair point but the 05 team also got clobbered every game Nash sat, so they were also a bit better than their record suggested. And I think the Spurs were more vulnerable in 05 than in 07. Losing Joe Johnson was such a killer. t.co

A lot of people asked about these guys. Choosing the best of the Nash era was tough, but I went with 04-05 instead. Point differential was comparable and they fit better together. 2005 Joe Johnson was soooo underrated. t.co
