MARCUS
SMART

Boston • 2021-22
Sep. 1, 2016 - Smart hasn't made quite the impact people thought he would with the Boston Celtics, but he's established himself as a scrappy player worthy of a spot in Brad Stevens' rotation. On paper the third-year guard's efficiency numbers are only okay, but further improvement can be expected in 2016-17. This team belongs to fellow point guard Isaiah Thomas, but they'll find a way to keep 22-year-old Smart in the mix. (AK)

I was as critical as anyone last summer of Boston's decision to make Marcus Smart the starting point guard. But he succeeded in every way. As discussed in the pod it's crazy to even suggest the Celtics look for someone else. @smart_MS3 will grow into the position. t.co
